12 幸せ
デザインがもたらしてくれる短期的な幸福と長期的な幸福。それらは時に矛盾を生みます。今を満たしてくれるものは長い目で見ると実は不幸を呼んでいるのかもしれません。将来のためだとわかっていても、今この時に我慢を強いられているのは幸せだと感じることができないかもしれません。物事は常に途中段階にあります。われわれは今すぐ断定できないことを否定せず、「余地」を残してくれるデザインを試みています。
HAPPINESS
Design brings us both short-term and long-term happiness. The two can sometimes be contradictory. What seems to be fulfilling our present can have negative effect in the long run. What seems to be leading to a better future can be creating hardship in the present. Things are always on-going and ever-changing. That is why we do not deny what we cannot conclude right now. We are always trying to create design that leaves "room" for us to re-think and re-consider what happiness is for each one of us at different stages.
